We’ve known Megan for a while now. She’s pretty much just plain awesome and aside from Mommy and Daddy she’s easily our kids’ favorite person on Earth. In two years we’ve gone from our first introduction to trusting her with our kids, her singing in the band at our church with Jon, and basically considering her part of the family. We’re so excited to see her finishing up high school and moving on to what’s next and thrilled that we had the opportunity to document a little bit of who she is at this stage of her life.

These pictures were taken on a very cold, almost rainy Saturday at the Olympic Sculpture Park and one of our favorite Seattle Parks: Parson’s Gardens.

Our good friends James and Kathy have a costume party every year for their anniversary. You may remember their zombie-themed party from last year. This year was their 10th anniversary and they stepped it up a notch with a Venetian Carnivale theme. We tried out a “photobooth” set-up. We hope you enjoy the slide show and everyone’s awesome costumes.

Jason + Tiffany

I recently had the privilege of spending a morning running around with Jason and Tiffany and their kids. There such a great family and their kids are so fun and sweet together. I wish I could spend all of my time playing with awesome families like theirs.–That is of course, when I’m not having funny with my own awesome family. Speaking of which, stay tuned for some pumpkin patch and halloween fun from the family in a few days.

I asked Josiah how much he loved fire trucks. This was his answer.

Meet Caitlyn. Kate and I have known Caitlyn for a few years. She’s a good friend and one of our kids’ favorite people (besides Mommy and Daddy of course). She’s a few years past “senior portraits” but we wanted to help her out since she didn’t have the opportunity to get senior pictures when she was still in school.

Fight the Current (teaser)

I had a great time last night at The Showbox at the Market shooting back stage for Fight the Current. I also had the chance to take a couple pictures of the opening bands: [Again and Again] and Stereo America. Here’s a few shots straight from the camera with no processing. I’ll post a larger set of Fight the Current in the not-too-distant future.

Nicole’s Album

We just sent Nicole her album from her maternity shoot. It’s a 4×6 brag book style with a beautiful silk brocade cover. (One of these is included by default in all maternity, family and other portrait shoots. You can also upgrade to a 5×7, 8×10, 11×14, or square 8″, 10″, or 12″ album if you want a coffee-table book.) I really like the pictures she picked for the album too. It all fits together really well.

Tonight I had the pleasure of shooting Micah and Jenn’s family once again. They are good friends and one of my most favorite families to shoot. They wanted to get some updated family pictures to include their new baby boy. Here’s a great one of the kids, straight from the camera, with no post processing or photoshop.
